About
DeVina DeLoach is a graduate from Florida State University. She graduated in 2003 with a B.S. degree in Clothing, Textiles, & Merchandsing. She presently teaches high school business and computer classes. In her spare time, she freelances as an independent fashion and jewelry designer, under her own label, DeLoach Studios (formerly known as ‘Kharizma’). In 2013, DeVina branched into jewelry design. While keeping busy teaching and designing, she still finds time to teach cake decorating classes at her local Michael's Arts & Crafts.
My Story
DeVina turned to fashion and jewelry design to solve a problem...the lack of options while shopping. She had a hard time find clothes that fit her slender, athletic frame. Once she did find something she like, the color choices were usually limited. The same was to be said about the jewelry selections.
Since DeVina loved to be unique, she began a journey that would become life-changing....FASHION & JEWELRY DESIGN.
FASHION
Her lines offeres unique, one-of-a-kind, and limited edition clothing, with an eclectic mix of everything fashionable. Her clothing is designed to capture the individual”… meaning that her clothes are designed for the individual, encompassing not only the body but also the mind and the attitude. When you walk down the street or into a room, her garments will definitely get you noticed.
DeVina’s inspirations for her clothing line come from various places. Some inspirations come from my models, TV, and magazines, but most come from the fabric. When she sees a fabric, she wonders “What can I make with this?” Keeping the combination of fabric and flattery in mind, she envisions just how the fabric will drape over and compliment the figure at the same time. This is the most important step because the fabric has to feel pleasant against the skin and drape well in order to be comfortable. Comfort is a major concern for DeVina and she never sacrifices comfort for fashion.
DeVina’s design aesthetic comes from the heart. She truly loves fashion and it is evident in her designs. She designs for the woman like herself – fun-loving, adventurous, confident, and independent. Many of her designs showcase a lot of skin by way of high slits, cut-outs, or short lengths. So they are definitely not for the faint at heart or the self-conscience. Her clothes are classy with a touch of urban pizzazz.
JEWELRY
With the lack of jewely options, DeVina set out to create beautiful pieces for every ocassion. For her, there was nothing worst that having the perfect outfit but not being able to find the perfect accessory. So creating custom pieces came with ease. With an arsenol of materials (beads, clay, paper, etc.), DeVina is able to create stunning, attention-grabbing pieces of jewelry.
